No. The show is made for non-coders. Everything we build on air starts from plain-English instructions, and we explain the moves as we make them. If you can describe what you want clearly, you can follow along and build alongside us.

A live show where Joe Apfelbaum and guests build real, working software on air, usually in about 90 minutes, using AI tools like Claude Code. Every episode ships something real, and the replays include the actual prompts we used so you can copy the moves.

Our default recommendation is Claude Code. It is the strongest tool for building complete, working software from plain English, and it is what we use on the show. Yes. Live sessions and replays are free. Joining the email list unlocks the prompt transcripts: the exact instructions we typed to build each project.

For every episode we publish the actual prompts we gave the AI, in order, alongside the replay. Watching the video shows you what happened; the transcript shows you exactly what we typed to make it happen. They are free for email subscribers.

We book two kinds of guests: people with an audience who want to build something real with us on air, and domain experts or builders with a great problem to solve or a project to show. The best applications name a specific problem we could solve together in about 90 minutes.

Sometimes, live on air. You can submit a build request (a Chrome extension, a scraper, an automation, a tool for your business) and we pick requests to build in future sessions. Session announcements go to the email list first.
